Last week was a doozy. Let’s take a look:
-I returned some clothes that I bought online. It’s been a long time since I impulsively shopped like this. Recently I’ve found myself relying on this kind of negative coping mechanism when dealing with my stress– shopping, eating, binge-watching TV. Once I hit the weekend, though, I realized that I didn’t really want any of the things I bought. Back to the store it was.
-I actually meal prepped! Seems like every weekend I tell myself I’m gonna do it, and then Sunday night comes around and I’m too tired or unmotivated. But this weekend I cooked up batches of breakfast tacos, pork chops, baked sweet potatoes, and roasted cauliflower.
-I sold my extra ticket for a horror film shorts screening at the Egyptian Theater on Saturday. I was supposed to go with a friend of mine, but her plans fell through and I couldn’t find anyone to come with. The theater wouldn’t give me a refund for the extra ticket, so I waited by the box office and sold it to the next hapless fool to walk up.
-I renewed four library books that were already late– now I can return them tomorrow and there won’t be any fines.
-I swept up the inside of my car with a hand broom instead of paying to get it detailed or wasting laundry quarters on a gas station vacuum.
-Bonus! I gave myself a haircut. Someday I’ll write up a post on my technique. Until then, put up some thoughts on the Instagram.
